The aftermath. Slushy streets and unbearable cold wind gets me to mix and match so many layers!. (I'm wearing 4 to be exact!) However, my take on this ensemble was to take two pastel colors and a print element. For accessories, gray gray gray. It is as simple as that. Happy Saturday!! Mwa

ICE ICE BABY

DAY #4 of my pre-FashionWeek winter outfit series. This outfit is very simple, inspired by my "winter white" outfit but this time it was all about the pastels and tie-dye. Don't be afraid of mixing the same or very similar patterns. On my outfit it almost creates a jumpsuit illusion. The frosting to my outfit? The baby pink faux-fur cropped jacket. Enough said. DIA #4 de mi serie de outfits antes de la Semana de la Moda. Este outfit es muy simple, inspirado en mi look de "Blanco en Invierno" pero esta vez me concentré en los pasteles y teñido anudado. No tengan miedo de combinar piezas con el mismo o un parecido estampado. Hará que las piezas se mezclen y sean una sola. Lo que más me gusta de mi look es la capa final. WINTER WHITE

DAY #1: First Post of my pre-FashionWeek winter outfits. I decided that I will post an outfit everyday of the week until Friday when I'll be going to New York for Fashion Week! I will be posting tips from how to wear white in winter, layer denim pieces, same color different prints, vintage clothing combine with winter trends, and so much more!! This outfit was inspired on the winter-motto everybody is talking about: Wear white after Labor day! I love white all year long and I cannot wait to find the perfect white leather pants. However, this skirt seemed very summery but I managed to combined it with my favorite winter pieces. A white knitted sweater and of course, the faux fur vest and for accessories I went with shades of blue. Pop of color? Orange on the lips to bring out the crisp white of the outfit. Mix and match opposites colors on the palette and add them to simple white t-shirts. Twist the everyday white V-neck and jeans with colors and make it fun! So this is it, Mwa!

DIA #1: Este es el primer post de una serie de outfits que subiré todos los días al blog hasta el Viernes que estaré viajando a la semana de la moda en Nueva York. Cada día subiré un outfit con tips en como vestir para invierno. Desde blanco en esta temporada, capas de jean, mismo color con diferentes estampados, piezas de épocas pasadas con tendencias del ahora y mucho mas! Este outfit esta inspirado en una frase que oigo en todas partes: Usa blanco después de Labor Day! No hay nada mejor que camuflajearse en la nieve no? No puedo esperar a tener en mis manos un pantalón de cuero blanco. Aunque esta falda sea veraniega, la junté con un sweater blanco para crear la ilusión de un vestido de invierno con un chaleco de piel sintética y porsupuesto un toque de color. Escogí diferentes tonos de azul para los accesorios y de contraste naranja en los labios. Si combinar colores no es tu fuerte, toma la paleta y escoje dos colores opuestos. No hay nada mas sencillo que combinar blanco con todo! Espero que les guste. Mua!

PASTELS AND FAUX FUR.

I know I'm late but HAPPY 2014!! It has been exactly 2 weeks since the year started but I just wanted to take a break and unplug for a while. Let's start the year the right way with PASTELS AND FAUX FUR! I decided to give this girly look a casual and comfy feel with my old but amazing nike floral sneakers while the baby blue tone of the skirt makes the colors of the clutch stand out... I am in love with this skirt and I can't wait to try different ways to style it. Take 2014 as the year of challenges. Don't be afraid to mix girly pieces with sporty additions. Hasta la vista! Mwa

Se que estoy un poco tarde pero... FELIZ 2014!! Han pasado exactamente 2 semanas desde que comenzamos el año y de verdad que he estado ausente porque quería desconectarme para empezar el año con todo. Empecemos el primer post del año con colores pasteles y piel sintética. Decidí hacer de este look femenino un poco mas casual y cómodo con uno de mis favoritos zapatos de goma nike que tengo desde hace tiempo y son color crema con detalles florales. El tono celeste de la falda hace contraste con el sobre y deja que los colores sobresalgan. El 2014 es el año de desafíos así que empecemos rompiendo el esquema de las faldas y tacones y agreguemos zapatos de goma para balancear. Hasta la vista! Mua

SNAPBACK BACK TO BACK

Despite the foggy weather I was excited to see that today's temperature was going to be breezy and chilly and -hell to da no freezing-. I wanted to show today my new black snap-back and my new favorite watch from the museum Centre Pompidou in Paris. Last year I had my eye on it. Frida was calling me to buy her, but I hesitated. Finally I decided to buy it this past holidays. Although I don't wear watches I consider them part of my arm party family. Hope you like this post as much as I do. Mwa!

A pesar del clima nublado estaba emocionada de que alfín la temperatura de hoy iba a estar fresca y friíta y no congelante como lo ha sido estas últimas semanas. Quería mostrarles hoy mi nueva gorra y mi nuevo reloj que compré en el museo Pompidou en París. El año pasado tenía los ojos puestos en él. Frida me estaba llamando para comprarla, pero dudé y no la llevé. Finalmente estas últimas vacaciones lo compré. Aunque no use relojes diariamente, los que tengo los llevo como un brazalete o una pulcera más. Espero que les guste este post tanto como a mi. Mua!
