EVERLASTING TREND

Is it ok that I'm still not over color-blocking? Don't answer that!. This time I decided to go for more sober velvety colors like navy, mustard, dark green and burgundy. Silver accessories to match my mirrored sunglasses and don't mind my messed up ponytail! Hope you like this colorful combo, Mwa!

Esta bien que todavía no he superado la tendencia de mezclar colores que contrasten? No respondan esto! Mi fiebre no ha parado, jeje. Esta vez decidí por combinar colores en tonos más sobrios y oscuros como el motaza, azul marino, verde oscuro y borgoña. TOO HOT TO CARE!

Let's face it, it's TOO hot to care. So what do you do when it is TOO hot to care? You wear swimwear as ready-to-wear. It is the beauty of the Bikini top à-la-crop-top. Those that can mock one, are worth pairing out with your favorite summer essentials. For me, it was my neoprene mesh skirt. I love how the mesh and material looks with the top. I knew that the beach would not be the only place to wear it. What about my new obsession? A tattoo choker! What do you think? Let me know! Mwa

Mucho mejor si este bikini pasa como crop top y puedes juntarlo con tus piezas favoritas de verano. Por ejemplo, amo como se ve mi top de malla con la falda de neopreno (látex) y malla. Oh Brooklyn, you were my escape when the madness in Manhattan was a little too much. The day I arrived from Boston, I was determined to take pictures with Manhattan's skyline. The colors, the water, the coooolddd... Everything was in our favor. (ok the cold not too much). So, as soon as I arrived we went for a quick photo shoot. One of my favorite challenges when dressing up is mixing different prints. Once you choose a base color (In this case it was gray), everything is easier. I chose red as my pop of color and started picking pieces that had gray, different prints and textures. Voilá. Tomorrow I'll be posting pictures of what I wore for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Raul Peñaranda's fashion show and lots of street style shots. Mwa!

Brooklyn se volvió el lugar de escape cuando la locura de Manhattan es demasiado. El día que llegué de Boston decidí ir sin pensarlo a la bahía porque quería fotos con la vista hacia Manhattan. La luz, el agua, y el frío estaba a nuestro favor... Bueno, el frío no tanto. Pero hablando de este outfit, cuando escojo que ponerme siempre intento desafiarme. La moda es una forma de expresión y si uno no la desafía y se arriesga, se estanca. Me encanta combinar diferentes estampados. Es mucho más fácil cuando escojes un color de base. En este caso fue el gris. Y después escogí piezas que tuvieran ese color pero que no fueran de estampado liso y con diferentes materiales. Voilá. Les gusta? Dejen sus comentarios al final del post! ICE ICE BABY

DAY #4 of my pre-FashionWeek winter outfit series. This outfit is very simple, inspired by my "winter white" outfit but this time it was all about the pastels and tie-dye. Don't be afraid of mixing the same or very similar patterns. On my outfit it almost creates a jumpsuit illusion. The frosting to my outfit? The baby pink faux-fur cropped jacket. Enough said. DIA #4 de mi serie de outfits antes de la Semana de la Moda. Este outfit es muy simple, inspirado en mi look de "Blanco en Invierno" pero esta vez me concentré en los pasteles y teñido anudado. No tengan miedo de combinar piezas con el mismo o un parecido estampado. Hará que las piezas se mezclen y sean una sola. Lo que más me gusta de mi look es la capa final. DENIM MADNESS

DAY #3 of my pre-FashionWeek winter outfit series. Here's the deal. I went mad about denim so I decided to mix a smock denim dress, boyfriend jeans and a denim varsity jacket. Oh, and yes, blue booties. My favorite outfits are the ones that are randomly put together. I wanted to wear the dress with tights and as I tried it, I had my boyfriend jeans  on. It looked manrepell-ish and I just loved it. I have seen girls (myself included) pulling off the denim on denim trend. What I really didn't know is that a little more denim wouldn't hurt anybody. So, I thought.. Let's do a ménage à trois à la denim!. Of course, the animal print and contrasting orange color had to join me and my new love affair. I love you denim. Mwa!

DIA #3 de mi serie de outfits antes de la Semana de la Moda. Les cuento que este día me volví loca por el jean y decidí mezclar un vestido estilo blusón, "boyfriend jeans", y una chaqueta deportiva de jean. Ah! y por si fuera poco, botines azules. Mis outfits favoritos terminan siendo cuando los compongo sin darme cuenta. Quería usar mi vestido con medias y mientras lo probaba tenía puesto mis jeans y cuando miré al espejo no podía creer lo raro y a la vez increíble que se veía. He visto la tendencia de jean sobre jean en muchas niñas incluyéndome. Lo que no me habia dado cuenta es que un poco más de jean no haría daño :). Claramente, no podía faltar un toque de estampado de leopardo y el naranja que hace contraste con el azul. Gracias por leerme! Mua
